Elizabeth MacGregor - Acrylics
You are here: Home > Featured Artists > Elizabeth MacGregor Brought up in the rural setting of Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, Elizabeth entered the teaching profession after graduating from RGU Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen, and has been Principal Teacher of Art and Design at Forres Academy since 1987.
Elizabeths artwork encompasses different genres using a variety of mediums, with a preference for landscapes, in most cases painted in acrylics.
Extraordinary places such as Finhorn, and other havens around the Moray Firth provide major inspiration for Elizabeth's landscape compositions. Dramatic lighting, colours and shapes of the cottages, patterns and textures of shingle and vegetation around the bays are all elements that fascinate her artistically.
Elizabeths work can be found in collections throughout the UK, Cyprus, Holland and the USA.
